About the Role
We’re recruiting for a Fire Alarm / Electrical Engineer to perform fire alarm servicing, fire alarm testing, fire extinguisher servicing, emergency lighting, PAT testing, and other building services PPM duties across commercial environments in Central London, Greater London, and surrounding areas.
Key Responsibilities
As the Fire Alarm & Electrical Engineer / PPM Engineer, you’ll be responsible for:
- Fire alarm servicing
- Fire alarm testing
- Fire extinguisher servicing
- Emergency lighting testing
- PAT testing
- Tap temperature tests (and other building services tasks)

Working Conditions & Compensation
- Job Title: Fire Alarm & Electrical Engineer / PPM Engineer
- Status: Permanent, PAYE – paid weekly
- Base Salary: £40,000 – £44,000
- Hours: Monday – Friday, 07:00 AM – 4:00 PM
- Overtime: ✅ Paid at:
- 1.5x rate until midnight
- 2x rate for overnight shifts / all-day Sundays
- Travel Compensation:
- 30-minute standard travel time (up to 60 minutes) paid per day
- Call-Out Rota: None
- Provided Benefits:

- Location: Central London & Greater London, with flexibility for colleagues based within 90 minutes commute of home

Mandatory Qualifications & Experience
✅ Must have experience servicing fire alarms in commercial buildings
✅ Must hold:
- A valid UK driving license (with no more than 9 penalty points)
- Availability to start work at 07:00 AM, requiring leaving home between 5:30 AM and 6:30 AM
✅ While not always mandatory, cppomising qualifications are a major advantage:
- FIA certification in fire alarms
- City & Guilds Electrical Installation
- 18th-Edition Qualified Electrician
✅ Any experience with commercial building services PPM tasks (e.g emergency lighting, PAT testing) is highly advantageous
