The Role: Fire and Security Operations Manager

In this crucial role, you will oversee and manage a growing Fire and Security division, ensuring projects are delivered to the highest standard, teams are motivated, and business operations align with industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operational Leadership: Provide hands-on technical expertise across all aspects of fire and security projects.
  • Team Development: Mentor, guide, and monitor engineers, ensuring continuous professional development and quality output.
  • Compliance Management: Uphold industry standards and accreditations, including BAFE, across all services.
  • Client Partnership: Attend client meetings, conduct site surveys, and foster strong working relationships.
  • Quotations and Audits: Support in preparing quotations, tenders, and conducting engineer audits to enhance service delivery.
  • Strategic Growth: Drive division growth through identification and pursuit of additional sales opportunities within existing accounts.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with scheduling and administrative teams to ensure operational efficiency and success.

About You

To thrive in this role, you will bring a mix of technical expertise, management experience, and commercial acumen, coupled with a proactive and adaptable approach.

Requirements

  • A proven background in fire and security systems, with strong technical knowledge.
  • Experienced in a management, supervisory, or lead engineer position in a similar environment.
  • Sound understanding of industry compliance, accreditations, and safety standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to produce detailed surveys, quotations, and estimates.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build client and cross-team relationships.
  • A results-driven approach, with the ability to identify and act on new business opportunities.
  • A valid UK driving licence.
