At Bureau Veritas Commodities, we're looking for a Hot Area Laboratory Technician to join our Metals & Minerals Division in Witham. This is an excellent opportunity to build a long-term career within a global business, with full training provided and no previous furnace experience required.

What You'll Be Doing
Working within our furnace area, you'll play a vital role in preparing samples for laboratory analysis by:
- Accurately weighing and preparing samples.
- Mixing samples using specialized equipment and extracted cupboards.
- Loading samples into crucibles and operating furnace processes.
- Melting materials and pouring small quantities into moulds.
- Handling materials safely using pump trucks and equipment.
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
- Following strict quality, safety, and environmental procedures.

What We're Looking For
You don't need previous furnace experience—we'll provide full training. We're looking for individuals who have:

âś… A positive and reliable approach to work
âś… Good communication and teamwork skills
âś… Flexibility to work rotating shifts
âś… GCSE Maths or Science (Grade C/4 or above)
âś… A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
