Role Overview
Take on a permanent role where you can enjoy a company car or car allowance, fuel card, healthcare, additional annual leave, and support toward further qualifications. As a Fire Safety Consultant, you'll be delivering high-quality, compliant assessments across the Southampton area.
About the Role
Based out of the Southeast office, you'll work across residential, commercial, and public-sector portfolios with a well-established safety consultancy known for its technical standards, supportive team culture, and long-term career development.
With continued growth and new contract wins, the client is expanding their Fire Risk Assessing team, making this an excellent time to join.
Responsibilities
As a Fire Safety Consultant, you will be:
- Conducting Type 1, Type 2 and Type 3 Risk Assessments across a varied property portfolio
- Producing clear, compliant, and detailed FRA reports with prioritised action plans
- Advising clients on remedial works and safety improvements
- Liaising with clients, housing providers, and facilities teams to ensure legislative compliance
- Managing your own diary and travel across the Midlands region
- Supporting re-inspections, follow-up visits, and ongoing compliance strategies

Qualifications
I'd love to speak to anyone who has:
- Proven experience delivering Type 1, 2, 3 FRAs in residential and/or commercial environments
- Strong working knowledge of current safety legislation and guidance
- Recognised FRA qualifications, such as:
- NEBOSH Fire Safety / Risk Management
- Level 3/4 Certificate in FRA
- Membership or accreditation (IFSM/IFE/FRACS or equivalent)
- Experience writing professional technical reports
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Full UK driving licence
