Salary: £39,256 - £40,949 (competent band, national pay award pending 01.07.26)

About Us
We’re seeking competent Firefighters (Control) (external or internal applicants) to develop into the Crew Manager (Control) role, as well as existing Crew Managers (Control) looking to transfer from another Fire and Rescue Service.
Based in our newly refurbished Control Room, you’ll join an established team operating a Watch-Based flexible shift pattern:
- 2 x Day Shifts
- 2 x Night Shifts
- Followed by 4 rota days
We’re currently upgrading to the latest Command & Control System (Vision 5), alongside recent replacements to our telephony system (DS3000), ensuring we leverage cutting-edge technology to deliver excellence in service for Warwickshire residents.

About The Role
As a Crew Manager (Control), your responsibilities include:
- Deputising for the Watch Manager in their absence
- Leading and coordinating emergency call handling, resource mobilisation, and operational incident support
- Demonstrating resilience and excellent communication skills to ensure high standards
- Delivering training and supporting Control Firefighters in your team

You’ll play a critical role in: ✔ Achieving Fire and Rescue objectives ✔ Maintaining operational activities to meet targets ✔ Managing critical incident information effectively ✔ Leading and supporting Control Operations during incidents ✔ Investigating and reporting on incidents for future learning
Key Requirements
Applicants must meet the following mandatory criteria:
- Lead teams and individuals to broader firefighting objectives
- Uphold operational standards for Cymru Fire and Rescue Service
- Implement and manage emergency response procedures
- Ensure service excellence in control room operations
Candidates must demonstrate professional competence and align with:
- NFCC Leadership Framework (behaviours)
- Core Code of Ethics
