We have an exciting opening for a Fire Engineer or Senior Fire Engineer to join Hoare Lea, a human-centric and planet-conscious engineering consultancy.

The Role (Key Responsibilities)

- Lead fire safety design for buildings across the UK
- Work cross-disciplinary (with acousticians, MEP engineers, etc.)
- Interpret UK fire safety regulations and guidance
- Attend meetings (design, client, site visits) in the UK and internationally.
- Maintain clear communication across project teams.
- Use fire modelling tools (evacuation modelling, smoke/heat radiation calculations, structural fire modelling).
Requirements
- Work experience in a fire engineering consultancy (or equivalent expertise).
- Relevant degree (or equivalent qualification) in:
- Engineering
- Building Services
- Mathematics
- Architecture
- Physics with a focus on fire safety.
- Technical understanding of fire safety design and computational modelling tools.
- Excellent IT & software proficiency (Adobe Creative Suite, MS Office, etc.).
- Strong team player with clear communication abilities.
- Must deliver under pressure with high organisation & planning skills.
