Role Description

The Fire Extinguisher & Mechanical Service Manager is responsible for overseeing the inspection, maintenance, and servicing of fire extinguishers and related mechanical fire safety systems.

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Aberdeen, coordinating service schedules, ensuring compliance with relevant standards, and supporting technicians in delivering high-quality work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervising service teams
  • Reviewing service reports
  • Managing stock and equipment
  • Liaising with clients to plan and confirm visits
  • Supporting risk assessment activities
  • Maintaining documentation for regulatory compliance
  • Contributing to continuous improvement of service processes

The manager works closely with senior leadership to uphold Realm’s commitment to:

Qualifications

  • Experience in managing fire extinguisher servicing and mechanical fire safety systems, with strong knowledge of relevant standards and regulations.
  • Background in service management or team leadership in a technical, engineering, or fire safety environment.
  • Strong organisational and planning skills, including scheduling, resource allocation, and documentation control.
  • Effective communication and customer service skills, with the ability to liaise confidently with clients and internal teams.
  • Relevant technical or trade qualifications in fire protection, mechanical services, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
  • Proficiency in using basic office software and service management tools for reporting and record-keeping.
  • Commitment to health and safety best practices and continuous professional development in fire safety and security.
  • Valid driving licence and the ability to work on-site across Aberdeen and the surrounding area as required.
