Fire Pump Engineer
Covering: South (Swindon)
Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum + overtime + benefits
Pure Power is a dynamic and growing business in the PTSG Fire Solutions Division that was acquired by the Group in October 2020. Pure Power are specialist contractors to the Fire suppression industry.
Fire suppression systems extinguish fire by the immediate release of a suppression agent. Each of these systems have a pump room to deliver the suppressant. Pure Power service and maintain the pump rooms, ensuring both power supplies and pumping equipment function as they should when required.
The role holder will be required to safely carry out servicing, repairs and maintenance works and produce the necessary reports that meet the current requirements of external accrediting bodies.
Role & Responsibilities
Perform servicing of fire pumps systems in line with specified scope of works, ensuring servicing is completed fully and to a high standard of quality. Provide detailed and accurate servicing reports, providing an assessment of any remedial requirements to ensure the integrity of the fire systems for our clients. Perform any repair work as required to fire pumps systems, in line with the scope of works set out and agreed with the client. Travel outside of area where needed, to service our client needs. Perform monthly stock checks on your van, to provide timely stock sheets to our Stores. Perform monthly PPE and Vehicle checks, to provide timely and forms to our safety team. Attend out of hours call outs as and when needed. Act with integrity and professionalism in all communications with clients and colleagues. Keep abreast of changes and amendments of standards, regulations, and best practice within the industry. Use and maintain your vehicles and tools in line with company policy. Always adhere to Company Health & Safety Policies and Procedures.

What you'll bring!
Essential
Qualification in either mechanical or electrical engineering Comfortable working with handheld, electronic devices to record information Competence in using standard office packages such as Microsoft Outlook (email), Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Strong organisation skills. Clean criminal record due to working in highly secure areas.
