Fire Pump Engineer
Senior Fire Pump Technician
Location: South (Swindon) Salary: Negotiable (dependant on experience) + overtime (weekends available) + benefits
About the Role
Pure Power, part of the PTSG Fire Solutions Division, specialises in servicing and maintaining fire suppression pump rooms. These systems are critical for releasing suppressant agents to extinguish fires efficiently.
The Senior Fire Pump Technician will:
- Perform servicing, repairs, and maintenance on fire pump systems
- Ensure compliance with external accrediting body standards
- Produce detailed reports on system integrity
- Respond to out-of-hours call-outs as required
Key Responsibilities
- Maintenance & Servicing:
- Perform technical servicing of fire pump systems according to agreed scopes
- Maintain high quality and accuracy in servicing works
- Prepare technical reports for compliance and client assessment
- Repairs & Troubleshooting:
- Conduct repairs on fire pumps as per client agreements
- Assess and remediate faults to maintain system integrity
- Operational & Safety Compliance:
- Conduct monthly vehicle and PPE checks, submitting reports to the safety team
- Travel as required to meet client needs
- Adhere strictly to Health & Safety policies
- Continuous Improvement:
- Stay updated on industry standards, regulations, and best practices
- Maintain tools and vehicles per company policy

Essential Requirements
- Qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
- Ability to record data using handheld/electronic devices
- Proficiency in:
- Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Standard office software
- Strong communication (verbal & written) and organisational skills
- Clean criminal record (due to highly secure working environments)
Desirable (Not Essential – Training Provided)
- CSCS card
- Asbestos awareness training
- Confined space training
- Electrical certification
- Industry experience (UK fire protection sector preferred)
