We are currently recruiting for a Fire Risk Assessor to join a housing organisation, supporting fire safety compliance across residential properties, communal areas, and HMOs.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Fire Risk Assessor with a strong background in housing and fire safety to play a key role in ensuring buildings remain compliant and safe for residents.
The Role:
As a Fire Risk Assessor, you will be responsible for:
- Carrying out regular fire risk assessments across residential dwellings and communal areas in line with BS9792 and PAS 79 standards
- Reviewing and auditing third-party fire risk assessments completed by contractors
- Maintaining accurate fire risk assessment records and databases
- Supporting fire safety works and providing technical input when required
- Working closely with the Fire Safety Manager and external fire authority partners
- Ensuring fire safety actions and programmes are delivered within agreed timescales

About You:
The successful candidate will have:
- Level 3 Fire Risk Assessment qualification (or equivalent)
- Previous experience carrying out fire risk inspections and producing detailed reports
- Strong knowledge of fire safety legislation and compliance requirements
- Experience working within a housing/residential environment
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
