Fire Risk Assessor

The Fire Risk Assessor will ensure the company adheres to legal standards, regulatory requirements and in-house policies relating to Fire Safety. You will be responsible for identifying fire hazards and risks, recording and reporting your findings and advising on fire safety. You will carry out Asbestos Duty to Manage inspections to inform management decisions. We want to provide homes that customers feel safe in and are proud to live in and are the springboard they need to achieve their aspirations – not a barrier.

Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and guidance and demonstrates best practice. Carry out Fire Risk Assessments in line with legislation, guidance, and in-house policies Accurately record and report on fire related remedial works, taking responsibility for identifying breaches and monitoring actions. Carry out post inspections on remedial works as required, ensuring they meet agreed standards and specifications Carry out pre handover fire risk assessments on new build homes Complete Duty to Manage asbestos inspections in line with regulations and in-house policies, accurately recording and reporting to inform asbestos management decisions and taking responsibility for identifying breaches and monitoring related actions. Take responsibility for your own continuing professional developing, ensuring you stay up to date on all Fire Risk and Asbestos Duty to Manage training Provide technical support, keeping up to date with changes in relevant policy and legislation to ensure delivery is effective and compliant. Work with fire services and managers to develop, amend and implement fire safety plans Provide fire safety advice to customers and colleagues
