Role: Fire Risk Assessor (40 hours per week, Manchester)
At Marlowe Environmental Services (part of Mitie), our team drives positive change in the built environment—ensuring safety comes first. We’re searching for a dedicated Fire Risk Assessor who is passionate about building safety and eager to grow their expertise.
What You’ll Do
- Conduct comprehensive fire safety risk assessments, fire door inspections, and compartmentation surveys, adhering to the latest legislation.
- Deliver clear, actionable reports to guide clients toward compliance.
- Communicate findings and recommendations to clients and stakeholders with clarity and confidence.
- Stay ahead of fire safety legislation updates and emerging best practices, ensuring our advice remains industry-leading.
- Work flexibly, either from our office or on-site with clients as needed.

- A degree or qualification in Fire Engineering/Safety (desirable)
- Registration with IFSM, IFE, or an equivalent competency scheme (minimum intermediate level)
- Proven experience in fire risk assessments, fire door surveys, and compartmentation surveys
- Strong knowledge of fire safety regulations
- Exceptional communication skills—you must be able to engage and inform clients effectively
