Fire Engineer / Fire Strategy Specialist Consultant

£80,000 – £95,000 + £5,000 Car Allowance | Fully Remote | National Projects

Our client delivers specialist fire safety and fire engineering consultancy services designed to protect people, property, and reputation.

Operating across a broad range of sectors, they provide technically robust, compliant, and commercially practical solutions tailored to each client’s specific risk profile and operational requirements.

From single-site properties to complex multi-building portfolios, they support duty holders, responsible persons, and organisations in meeting their legal obligations with clarity, precision, and confidence.

The Opportunity

An exceptional, highly technical Fire Engineer / Fire Strategy Consultant is required to join a growing specialist consultancy team.

This senior-level position suits an experienced Fire Engineer or advanced Fire Safety Consultant capable of delivering complex retrospective fire engineering reports, detailed design reviews, and full Building Safety Case documentation from inception through to completion.

This position offers fully remote working, with national site attendance required when projects demand.

The Role

Ownership of complex and high-risk projects across the UK, delivering:

  • Retrospective Fire Engineering Reports
  • Fire Engineering Design Reviews
  • Complex Fire Strategy Reports
  • Site inspections to assess, develop, and justify retrospective fire strategies
  • Technical liaison with dutyholders, design teams, and regulators

Full competence is required in understanding what a robust Building Safety Case must contain, including hazard identification, control measures, technical justification, supporting evidence, and regulatory alignment, alongside confidence in defending professional judgement.

The Ideal Candidate

A vastly experienced and technically competent professional who:

  • Demonstrates extensive fire engineering and complex consultancy experience
  • Confidently delivers retrospective fire strategies for existing and higher-risk buildings
  • Possesses strong understanding of Building Safety Case requirements under current UK legislation
  • Independently manages projects from scoping to final submission
  • Comfortably attends site nationally as required
  • Produces clear, defensible, technically robust reports
  • Thrives in a senior, high-accountability position

Salary & Benefits

  • £80,000 – £95,000 per annum (dependent on experience) with the potential to increase to £100,000k plus car.
