Fire Safety Compliance Manager

📍 London (Hybrid Working)
💰 £700 per day (Umbrella)
🕒 Contract

Ceto Talent is supporting a major organisation in the search for a Fire Safety Compliance Manager to provide technical leadership, assurance, and governance across a large and complex property portfolio.

This is a senior fire safety role focused on protecting operational assets, influencing key stakeholders, and ensuring fire safety strategies remain effective throughout the lifecycle of buildings and infrastructure.

About You

You will bring a strong fire safety background and be comfortable operating as a subject matter expert within a complex estate environment.

Key requirements include:

  • Membership of the Institution of Fire Engineers (IFE) or equivalent recognised professional body
  • Level 4 or higher qualification in Fire Safety, Fire Engineering, or Fire Risk Assessment
  • Strong knowledge of:
    • Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order
    • Approved Document B
    • BS 9999
    • Fire Engineering principles including PD 7974
  • Experience reviewing fire strategies, fire risk assessments, and engineered fire safety solutions
  • Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and communicate technical risk clearly

Desirable

  • Third-party accredited Fire Risk Assessor
  • Experience within large, operational, or regulated environments
  • Experience supporting assurance, audit, or compliance programmes

Responsibilities

  • Lead fire safety governance and technical assurance activities
  • Review fire strategies and assess the impact of design and operational change
  • Deliver risk-based assurance and compliance programmes
  • Undertake audits, inspections, and compliance reviews
  • Provide expert advice to senior stakeholders on fire risk and regulatory compliance
  • Support continuous improvement of fire safety management systems
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective management of fire safety risks
