FIRE SAFETY REMEDIATION OFFICER

Rendall & Rittner
Competitive
Hybrid - Home Based

Role Overview

You will play a pivotal role in making homes safer by driving fire safety remediation across a large and varied residential portfolio. Home based, with occasional office attendance, you will coordinate investigations, scope solutions and oversee the delivery of remedial works that address building safety risks, from external wall systems to compartmentation and life safety systems.

Working closely with surveyors, consultants, contractors and resident stakeholders, you will translate technical findings into clear action plans, track progress to closure and ensure full compliance with evolving legislation and internal standards. Your work will directly improve residents’ peace of mind and demonstrate our commitment to doing the right thing, the right way.

ROLE EXPECTATIONS

Most days you will review reports and evidence, prioritise risks, and convert recommendations into robust, costed remediation plans. You will coordinate multiple projects, chair progress meetings, manage stakeholder communications, and keep meticulous records to evidence compliance and support funding or recovery routes.

What Success Looks Like

  • You consistently move buildings from identified risk to verified compliance, on time and within agreed budgets.
  • You maintain a clear, auditable “golden thread” of information from assessment through to sign-off.
  • Residents and client stakeholders are well-informed, reassured and engaged throughout each project.
  • Contractors, surveyors and consultants are effectively managed with strong performance and safety outcomes.
  • Risks are prioritised intelligently, with interim measures implemented and retired appropriately.
  • Reports, dashboards and board updates are accurate, timely and insight-led.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
