Job Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity for enthusiastic, dedicated individuals who would like to join our Rescue and Fire Fighting Service.
The role is to provide Rescue and Fire-Fighting Services as required by Aviation Regulations, being a firefighter is essential to the needs of the Airport.
If you are looking to begin a career in the fire service and have limited or no experience or alternatively you are already a qualified fire fighter, this position is for you.
The department covers the operation 24/7, with shifts ordinarily consisting of 13 hour night shift & 11 hour day shift on a 4 of 4 off rotation.

You will need to be a confident individual who remains calm under pressure as the role can be challenging and provide clear instructions using a radio. A methodical approach, with specific attention to detail, is needed as you will be required to work independently at times.
It is essential for the position that you have:
- Full driving licence
- Ability to work on own initiative and prioritise
- Good colour perception
- Physically fit
- Ability to work in a team
- Good communication skills
- Must have been resident in the UK for 3 years
- Local to the Airport
