Junior Kitchen Manager – Firehouse Grill | Butlin’s

At Butlin’s, great holidays start with incredible food. We’re looking for an energetic, passionate Junior Kitchen Manager to run the pass at our high-energy, open-kitchen restaurant: the Firehouse Grill!
From tongue-tingling chargrilled favourites, juicy chicken, signature build-your-own burgers, and epic sharing platters, you’ll be at the center of the action. With an open kitchen, guests get to watch the culinary magic happen live.

Key Responsibilities
You’ll be a self-starter who leads by example, ensuring energy remains high and presentation standards are flawless—in full view of our guests. In this role, you’ll:
- Take full responsibility for managing margins, controlling costs, and hitting food budgets with efficiency.
- Achieve cost-effective efficiency without compromising quality.
- Lead daily briefings to mentor chefs, unlocking the team’s potential and fostering a fun yet high-performance culture.
- Uphold strict standards for health, safety, hygiene, and food regulations.
- Mediate conflicts, resolve problems, and ensure flawless execution from every member of the kitchen team.
- Act as needed to cover when the Kitchen Manager is absent.
Shift Details:
- 40-hour week across 5 days out of 7 (packed as our resort breaks align with adult-only or family holiday schedules).
- Some shifts may include late-night finishes—flexibility is key!

Who We’re Looking For
You’ll bring a proven track record in a similarly demanding kitchen leadership role, including:
- Strong team management and leadership experience in a fast-paced, high-volume production environment.
- A certified Level 3 Food Safety qualification.
- A 'hard-working, reliable attitude'—your energy, enthusiasm, and joining-in attitude drive the team forward.
- Pragmatic, common-sense problem-solving skills when things don’t go to plan.
