First Contact Practitioner - Physiotherapist (Bank)
About the Role
Circle Integrated Care - Bedford is seeking a First Contact Practitioner (Physiotherapist) to join their team on a bank basis.
This role involves providing supplementary support during busy periods, covering absences, and helping maintain staffing levels within the Physiotherapy department.
Salary: Up to £27.50 per hour (depending on experience, training, and qualification).

Responsibilities
You will be expected to:
- Conduct comprehensive musculoskeletal (MSK) assessments for routine and complex patients in primary care settings, using advanced clinical reasoning and evidence-based practice.
- Formulate and implement accurate diagnoses, intervention plans, and prognoses.
- Develop and promote self-management strategies for patients.
- Collaborate with Advanced Practice Physiotherapists (APPs), GPs, MSK Podiatrists, and other MSK clinicians as part of the integrated service.
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of MSK service pathways and technology-driven care solutions to improve access and patient outcomes.
- Where qualified, administer joint and soft tissue injections independently; alternatively, commit to relevant training to gain this skill.

Requirements
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Must be HCPC-registered Physiotherapist with substantial post-registration experience in MSK.
- Proven competence in advanced MSK assessment and management.
- Experience working autonomously in primary care, GP, or extended scope settings.
- Exceptional communication, clinical reasoning, and patient education skills.
- Knowledge of NHS frameworks, MSK pathways, and population health strategies.
