First Line Manager
First Line Manager – Ophthalmology – UK South
Our client is a rapidly growing, specialty Ophthalmic company with a strong track record of execution, having developed and launched 30 eye care products globally since 2007. Their mission is to provide high-quality eye care products that are manufactured and delivered with excellence and to continually improve the awareness, accessibility, and affordability of eye care around the world.
They are looking to hire a 1st Line Manager who has ambition and commitment. The person is expected to build, develop, and motivate the team to consistently deliver sales performance ahead of target.
Responsibilities include:
Training and development of sales team: in-field coaching, selling skills, product knowledge improvement, and mentoring Master the business ecosystem comprising of Ophthalmologists, hospital pharmacists and ICBs Spending 80% of your time in the field with team and customers Sales force effectiveness: Daily call planning, regular customer list updates, and periodically refreshing customer segmentation and targeting Supporting the team in developing and executing key accounts plans in-line with marketing strategy and ensure to target achievement Develop and maintain relationships with selected KOLs in the country Understand and manage the budget, by converting the budget into a road map, and working with the team on how to achieve it

Candidate requirements:
Previous experience as a First Line Manager specifically within the London area and strong experience of successfully driving market access (formulary success) Has led, motivated, and built a high performing team Analytical, using data driven insights, able to forecast, measure KPI’s and drive performance Strong recruitment and development via coaching to elevate selling skills Drive sales force activity in line with national strategy Able to drive excellence in sales for execution (business planning, activity, in-call effectiveness) Performance driven with clear thinking on expected standards. Ability to take tough decisions, when required Strong communicator and effective listener
