Position: First Line Manager
Location: Brackmills, Northampton (NN4 7BW)
Shift Patterns: Monday-Friday. Day time hours (09:30-18:00)
Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time)
Are you a driven people leader with a passion for operational excellence? DHL is looking for a First Line Manager to join our team in Northampton, supporting the NUMS contract. In this fast-paced and rewarding role, you will lead and develop a high-performing team, ensuring operational targets, customer expectations, and service levels are achieved safely and efficiently. What You'll Do
- To directly assist management by reporting on and monitoring the effectiveness of all warehousing activities and performance in your designated area.
- To supervise, implement and coordinate productivity by communicating job expectations to direct line reports, ensuring that all deadlines are safely met within allocated time frames, while always maintaining standards of excellence.
- Streamline Processes: Implement innovative strategies to enhance productivity and efficiency in our warehouse.
- Deliver team member performance reviews (1-2-1's), development and/or succession planning as appropriate.
- Ensure shift is managed in line with Health & Safety legislation and company procedures.

This Role Would Suit People Who
- Previous First Line Manager/Team Leader/Supervisor experience is essential.
- Excellent communication skills - Verbal and written.
- Have strong operational knowledge of logistics and warehousing.
- Have a strategic mindset and a passion for problem-solving.
- Able to lead, motivate and coach the team.
