Shift Manager Role Available
We are looking for a Shift Manager to join one of the world’s largest chemical manufacturers. This role comes with a great benefits scheme, and it is based at a great company with many career opportunities. About the Role
We are keen to speak with anyone that has previous experience as a:
- Shift Manager
- Production Supervisor
- FLM
- Team Leader
- Production Leader
- Line Leader
Further to this, the ideal candidate will have experience working on a COMAH manufacturing site with involvement in conducting chemical reactions.

Qualifications Required
- Technical Qualification – HND/ONC or equivalent experience in a Chemical Plant (Required)
- NVQ III in Management or equivalent, ideally an A1 assessor (Desirable)
- Experience working on a COMAH Site
Responsibilities
- Sustain a high level of personal SHE awareness in the Plant operating teams to ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations at all times.
- Prepare the plant prior to planned Engineering work.
- Participate in safety audits, HAZOPS’s, and risk assessments.
- Liaise with the maintenance department to organise and prioritise plant repairs and planned maintenance and ensure that they are carried out effectively.
- Report all process safety incidents or hazards and contribute to incident investigations.
- Liaise with the supply chain to ensure sufficient raw materials are available to maintain production.
- Work in conjunction with the Operations Leader.
- Ensure that all operations are carried out according to standard operating procedures.
- Implement Company policies and disciplinary procedures and general terms and conditions of employment.
