Role Description

The First Responder role is a part-time, self-employed position based in Leeds on the most part. Day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Attending events to provide immediate medical assessment and care
  • Responding to emergencies, and stabilizing individuals until further medical support is available
  • Monitoring event areas for potential risks
  • Documenting incidents and treatments accurately
  • Communicating clearly with patients, team members, and event organizers

First Responders may also assist with:

  • Preparing medical equipment
  • Maintaining readiness of supplies
  • Participating in briefings and debriefings
  • Supporting continuous improvement in safety protocols

  • First Response Emergency Care Level 3 (FREC3)
  • Ideally have experience in working at events
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure, make sound decisions, and work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary medical team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient-centered approach and commitment to respectful, non-discriminatory care
  • Strong record-keeping skills and attention to detail for accurate documentation of incidents and treatments
  • Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings and weekends, and to travel to different event locations around Leeds and surrounding areas
