Company Description Founded in 1873, East Sheen FC is one of London’s historic football clubs and is currently undergoing an ambitious revival.

Based in South West London, the club operates men’s teams across the non-league and grassroots pyramid while providing opportunities for players, coaches, students, and young professionals to develop both on and off the pitch.

Through football, community engagement, and innovative partnerships, East Sheen FC is building a sustainable club model that honours its heritage while embracing the future.

Role Description East Sheen FC is seeking an ambitious and committed Head Coach to lead one of our men’s teams as we continue to build the next chapter of the club’s story.

Founded in 1873, East Sheen FC is a historic South West London football club currently undergoing an exciting revival. We are building a player-centred environment focused on development, opportunity, community, and ambition.

This is an excellent opportunity for a coach looking to gain experience in senior men’s football, develop their leadership skills, and play a key role in shaping a growing football programme.

Responsibilities

  • Lead weekly training sessions and matchdays
  • Develop and implement a playing philosophy
  • Work closely with the Chairman and club leadership
  • Assist with player recruitment, retention, and development
  • Create a positive, professional, and competitive environment
  • Support the progression of players throughout the club structure
  • Help build a strong club culture both on and off the pitch

What We’re Looking For

  • Passion for football and player development
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Reliable and organised approach
  • Ability to manage players and staff effectively
  • Positive attitude and willingness to contribute to the club’s growth
  • FA coaching qualifications preferred but not essential

  • Weekly training sessions (Thursday evenings)

This is a voluntary position.

We’re looking for someone who sees this as more than just coaching a team. We want an individual who wants to help build something meaningful and grow alongside the club.

Qualifications

Qualifications & Experience

Essential

  • Strong knowledge and understanding of football
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to plan and deliver engaging training sessions
  • Reliable, organised, and committed approach
  • Ability to create a positive and professional team environment

Desirable

  • FA Introduction to Coaching Football (or equivalent)
  • FA Level 1 / UEFA C Licence (or working towards)
  • Previous coaching or playing experience in adult football
  • Experience managing players in a team environment
  • First Aid and Safeguarding certifications

Ideal Candidate

  • Ambitious coach looking to develop within senior men’s football
  • Passionate about player development and team culture
  • Comfortable working within a growing football club environment
  • Willing to contribute to recruitment, planning, and wider club initiatives
