Role Overview
Our purpose is to engage with members and ensure they receive a world-class experience on every visit to JD Gyms. This entails:
- Upholding the highest standards of cleanliness.
- Engaging with members on the gym floor.
- Leading gym inductions.
- Teaching engaging group exercise classes.
Responsibilities
- Place member experience at the heart of everything you do, with constant engagement on the gym floor.
- Provide welcoming and engaging prospective member tours in line with JD Gyms brand standards.
- Deliver engaging group exercise classes and informative member inductions.
- Support prospective members in joining JD Gyms when needed.
- Conduct club standards checks, documenting results accurately per JD Gyms procedures.
- Provide ad hoc support to members as required or observed.
- Maintain club cleanliness to the highest specified standards.
- Ensure the club adheres to excellent brand and health and safety standards.
- Monitor our service delivery through feedback and performance data.
- Maintain legal and compliant operations at all times.
- Address management, energy, environmental, and waste management issues.
- Analyse and present key performance data to drive new initiatives and improvements.

Requirements & Qualifications
- Deep passion for fitness, health, wellbeing, and helping others.
- Ability to embody and represent JD Gyms brand standards and values.
- Enthusiasm for learning and openness to constructive feedback.
- Adaptability in style to engage with different personalities.
- Resilience and a warm, supportive team-oriented mindset.
- Understanding of the significance of member experience.
- Flexibility in scheduling and approach to working hours.
- Commitment to working for JD Gyms’ local communities.
- Qualified Level 3 (EQF Level 4) Personal Trainer (essential).

Employment & Self-Development Structure
Employed Fitness Coach (Part-Time)
- Part-time position (12 hours per week).
- 3 shifts per week, each lasting 4 hours.
- Monthly salary provided by JD Gyms.
- Eligibility for JD’s exclusive career progression programme.
Self-Employed Personal Trainer (External Business Growth)
- Operate as a self-employed Personal Trainer, independent of JD Gyms.
- Pay monthly rent outside of your employed hours.
