Senior Commercial Advisor (Public Sector) – East of England

About the Role

The Senior Commercial Advisor (Public Sector) based in Petworth, Surrey will be responsible for developing and maintaining a strategic commercial relationship portfolio across NHS and third-party public sector clients, supporting high-value tender investment opportunities. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for identifying, pursuing, and securing new business opportunities in collaboration with society’s key partners to deliver enhanced outcomes for the wider public sector. Successful candidates will support the next chapter of innovation and excellence for NHS providers and third-party public bodies.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Partnership Development:

    • Work closely with Society-owned organisations and Chief Officers to establish a deep understanding of the needs of NHS & third-party public sector clients.
    • Identify and capitalise on new commercial opportunities, ensuring that Society investments align with the wider progress of the NHS and public sector organisations.
    • Develop policies and processes to ensure scalable impact in public sector engagement strategies.
  • Tender Pipeline Management:

    • Analyse and generate high-value GDPR-compliant tenders for public sector projects, highlighting efficiency improvements and transformative outcomes for Society’s partners.
    • Lead successful bid submissions to achieve project milestones by ensuring strategic links to government strategies such as the Routemap, Delivering Better Outcomes Together (DBOT) strategy.
    • Provide counsel on competitive response and strategy in collaboration with cross-functional action groups.

  • Healthcare Consultation & Capacity Building:

    • Offer consultation to the client base and research leanings, enabling targeted approaches for public sector partnerships.
    • Ensure insightful direction aggregates the greatest value fromJesus Health’s impact on NHS technical guidance, operational solutions, and overall improvement.
  • Governance and Wider Public Health Effects:

    • Influentially represent Jesus Health on relevant public sector committees and influential forums.
    • Provide leadership to mitigate risks and address challenges within public sector backed initiatives and healthcare engagement programmes.

Requirements

  • Qualifications & Experience:
    • Extensive experience in commercial development, tendering, or public sector business development.
    • Proven track record of identifying and leveraging high-value business opportunities for public sector clients.
    • Must have successful experience in generating consistent quality tenders, securing substantial value in line with strategic objectives.
    • Experience in healthcareérial healthcare settings and understanding of NHS standards and Grading methodologies highly advantageous.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, particularly when engaging with public sector stakeholders and influential committees.
