Role Overview

Your purpose will be to engage with members to ensure they receive a world-class experience on every visit to JD Gyms. This means upholding the highest standards of cleanliness, engaging interaction on the gym floor, leading gym inductions, and teaching engaging group exercise classes.

Responsibilities

  • Place member experience at the heart of everything you do by constantly engaging with members on the gym floor.
  • Deliver welcoming and engaging prospective member tours in the club, in line with JD Gyms brand standards.
  • Deliver engaging group exercise classes.
  • Deliver engaging and informative member inductions.
  • Support prospective members with joining JD Gyms as required.
  • Conduct club standards checks across the club, ensuring results are recorded accurately and aligned with JD Gyms record-keeping procedures.
  • Provide ad hoc support to members as needed or observed.
  • Ensure club cleanliness standards are maintained to the highest level, as directed by the Gym Management and Operations team.
  • Maintain excellent brand standards at all times, ensuring a safe and compliant environment in line with all health and safety protocols.
  • Monitor service delivery through performance and member feedback.
  • Ensure compliance with all legal and safety regulations at all times while working for JD Gyms.
  • Demonstrate strong management skills while considering energy and environmental issues, as well as waste management.
  • Analyse and present key data to support new ideas, initiatives, and proposed developments.

  • Passion for fitness, health, wellbeing, and helping people
  • A representative of, and embodies, JD Gyms brand standards and values
  • Enthusiastic, open to learning, and adaptable in interacting with different personalities
  • Resilient and receptive to feedback
  • Understands and can communicate the importance of a great member experience
  • Flexible with working hours
  • Thrives in a team culture, driven by collective effort towards members and communities
  • Level 3 (EQF Level 4) Personal Trainer qualification preferred (though prior experience can also be considered)
