Role Overview

As part of the JD Gyms team, your primary focus will be to engage members and ensure they receive exceptional service during every visit. Key responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining high standards of cleanliness
  • Leading gym inductions and engaging group exercise classes
  • Providing exceptional member interaction on the gym floor

Key Responsibilities

  • Place member experience at the heart of everything you do by engaging consistently on the gym floor.
  • Deliver welcoming and brand-aligned prospective member tours.
  • Conduct engaging group exercise classes (vitally important for member retention).
  • Offer detailed member inductions to ensure new members hit the ground running.
  • Assist prospective members with the joining process as needed.
  • Perform club standards checks to ensure climate adherence and record results properly.
  • Provide proactive support to members based on observed needs.
  • Uphold highest cleanliness standards in the club.
  • Maintain strict brand compliance and health & safety in all operations.
  • Monitor service delivery through performance reviews and member feedback.
  • Strict adherence to legal and safety compliance at all times.
  • Show strong sustainable-minded decision-making regarding energy usage and waste.
  • Present and analyse key data to drive innovation and growth initiatives.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Passion for fitness, health, wellbeing, and community—your love for these areas will drive you to deliver outstanding member experiences.

  • Enthusiastic attitude with a willingness to learn and grow.
  • Ability to adapt to different personalities and work styles.
  • Resilience in receiving and acting on feedback.
  • Deep understanding of what makes a member enjoy their visit and excellent communication skills.
  • Flexibility in shifting hours as required.
  • Strong commitment to teamwork and supporting others in creating a successful company culture.
  • Level 3 (or equivalent EQF Level 4) Personal Trainer qualification—(this is mandatory entry).
