About the Role

Places for People Group is seeking a Fitness Instructor for Places Leisure—an opportunity to work in a fun, energetic, and inclusive environment.

In this role, you’ll:

  • Inspire and motivate others to achieve their best.
  • Provide data-driven, individualised fitness advice tailored to each customer’s goals.
  • Offer guidance on health and wellness trends, ensuring safe and effective workouts.
  • Strengthen customer interactions while fostering a supportive, collaborative atmosphere.

This is a fantastic stepping stone to grow your career within Places Leisure, whether through Personal Training or moving into management.


Responsibilities

Customer Focus

  • Always prioritise the needs and safety of your customers.
  • Build personal and meaningful connections with a diverse client base.
  • Conduct initial inductions, ensuring proper use of gym equipment.

Fitness & Training

  • Deliver small group sessions and Personal Training (PT).
  • Develop and monitor personalised fitness programmes for all ability levels.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and share knowledge.

Teamwork & Standards

  • Maintain high hygiene and safety standards in line with company policies.
  • Support team efforts in facility upkeep and consistent service quality.

Requirements

Essential Qualifications

  • CIMSPA Affiliate/Reps Level 2 certification (minimum requirement).
  • Interest in continuous personal and professional development.

Desirable (Optional but Preferred)

  • CIMSPA Practitioner/Reps Level 3 qualification (we will support your upskilling).

Skills & Traits

  • Motivational attitude—able to inspire others to drive positive change.
  • Expertise in health-related feedback aligned with clients’ personal aspirations.
  • Team player, committed to ongoing training and maintaining standards.
  • Enjoys personal interactions—excels in face-to-face client consultations.

Training & Development

  • Ongoing support for achieving CIMSPA Practitioner/Reps Level 3.
  • Customer service training enhancements to elevate experience.
  • Additional opportunities for upskilling across various wellness domains.
