Location: Outskirts of Stowmarket (own transport required due to location)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 07:45 - 16:30
Pay: £14.00 - £16.00 p/hour (DOE)
Contract: Temporary to Permanent
We are currently recruiting for fitters to join a growing manufacturing business based near Stowmarket, Suffolk. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a hands-on background in manufacturing, construction, joinery, or general building work who is looking for a long-term role within a skilled production team.
Own transport required due to location
Fitter Duties
- Carrying out internal fit-outs including partitions, trims, layouts and finishing work
- Completing joinery tasks including studwork, wall linings, doors, windows and general carpentry duties
- Carrying out basic plumbing tasks including sink and toilet installations, waste systems and push-fit/copper fittings
- Completing painting, finishing and general maintenance tasks
- Carrying out cleaning and preparation of refurbished units
- Using hand tools and equipment safely to complete daily tasks
- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment
- Following all health and safety procedures and company guidelines

What We're Looking For
- Previous experience within a manufacturing, construction, joinery or maintenance environment is desirable
- Confident using hand tools and completing practical tasks
- Basic understanding of building, mechanical or construction principles
- Ability to follow instructions and work from plans or specifications
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Reliable, hardworking and able to work well as part of a team
- Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop
