Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Fitters role based in Pool. The Fitter will install windows, doors, and conservatories to a high standard, ensuring accurate measurement, alignment, and secure fitting. Daily tasks include:

  • Preparing materials and tools
  • Removing existing fittings where required
  • Completing installations in line with building regulations and company specifications

The role involves working safely on-site, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, and communicating professionally with customers and colleagues. Fitters will also be expected to:

  • Troubleshoot installation issues
  • Perform minor repairs or adjustments
  • Complete job documentation as needed

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in window, door, or conservatory installation, or a related construction trade
  • Strong practical skills with hand and power tools, including accurate measuring, cutting, and fitting
  • Good understanding of health and safety practices and willingness to follow all on-site safety procedures
  • Ability to read and work from technical drawings, job specifications, and installation instructions
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a small team
  • Good communication skills and professional customer-facing manner
  • Physical ability to handle materials, work at height when required, and perform manual tasks safely
  • Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel to various local job sites
