Fitters Mate (Roller Shutters / Industrial Doors)

Are you ready to start a rewarding career in the industrial door industry? Industrial Door Engineering is seeking a dedicated and motivated Fitters Mate to join our team. In this role, you will work alongside an experienced fitter to install, repair, and service roller shutter doors across a range of commercial and industrial sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Fitter in the installation, repair, and maintenance of roller shutter doors and other industrial door products.
  • Help transport, unload, and prepare materials and tools for jobs.
  • Ensure safety procedures are followed on-site and maintain a clean working environment.
  • Provide hands-on support during installation and repairs.
  • Communicate effectively with customers and the fitting team to ensure smooth job completion.
  • Travel to various locations for both local and national projects.

About You:

  • Basic knowledge or interest in mechanical/electrical work.
  • Strong desire to learn the trade and develop your skills.
  • Comfortable with manual work, including lifting and carrying heavy materials.
  • Willingness to travel across the UK as required.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow instructions.
  • Full UK driving license (preferred but not essential).
