About the Company
Our client is an FCA-authorised investment firm providing brokerage and trading services to institutional, professional, and retail-facing brokers and wealth managers.
The business provides access to global markets through a combination of electronic and high-touch execution services, supported by established operational, compliance, and technology infrastructure.
As part of its growth strategy, the firm is developing a high-touch fixed income trading desk operating through a matched principal, inter-dealer-style business model. The desk will focus on originating client order flow, sourcing liquidity, matching buyer and seller interest, and facilitating fixed income transactions within a controlled and regulated environment.
Role Purpose
The Fixed Income Producer-Trader will be responsible for originating, developing, and monetising client relationships while executing fixed income transactions on a high-touch basis.
This is a front-office, revenue-generating role requiring the successful candidate to bring, maintain, and grow their own client relationships and trading book. The successful individual will operate across both sales and trading, identifying opportunities, covering clients directly, sourcing liquidity, negotiating prices, executing trades, and managing the full commercial trading relationship.
There is no separate fixed income sales team, making this role particularly suited to an entrepreneurial fixed income professional with an established network of clients, counterparties, dealers, market makers, and liquidity providers.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
