FLAGGERS (BASE AND HIGHWAY DIVISIONS)

Asphalt Labourers

Primary Responsibilities

  • Complete physical work, including shoveling, raking, and sweeping
  • Operate related heavy equipment with asphalt experience

  • Ability to work out of town when necessary
  • Previous experience in the asphalt paving industry
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions (primarily outdoors)

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate excavators for digging parking lots, streets, and ditches
  • Read and interpret blueprints, site plans, and grade specs
  • Perform daily pre-operational checks and routine maintenance
  • Follow company and provincial safety regulations; identify hazards

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate grader to achieve fine grade tolerances
  • Spread sand, soil, aggregates to specified grades
  • Adjust blade angles and heights per stake markers/specifications
