Overview
The Visual Manager is a pivotal member of the store leadership team, responsible for executing ALO’s visual and product strategy in-store. This role is uniquely focused on planning, product knowledge, data-driven decision-making, and visual merchandising—all with the goal of ensuring the store remains customer-ready at every moment.
Key Responsibilities
Visual Leader
- Oversee and manage the execution of operational and visual processes
- Champion consistent visual standards on the salesfloor while leveraging real-time sales data and business analytics
- Lead strategic product presentation and merchandising, ensuring:
- Product recovery
- Restocking and destocking alignment with directives
- Timely visual merchandising change as required
- Plan visual floor transformations while balancing payroll management and adapt visual support to business needs
- Execute end-to-end visual direction—from planning through implementation—gingerliness with company expectations, budgets, and timelines
- Analyze reporting tools in partnership with management to identify business opportunities related to product placement, store outfitting, and stock levels and make necessary changes
Business Leader
- Represent the business in meetings, conference calls, and with the General Manager
- Review and monitor following metrics (e.g., expenses, sell-through), and store/quarterly financial reports with the General Manager
- Manage the business budget and data-driven reporting processes
- Inform sales planning strategies and quarterly business reviews
- Ensure long-term business optimization with streamlined workflows to maintain peak operational performance

People Leader
- Foster a team culture rooted in ALO’s mission and guiding principles, ensuring effective internal and external communication
- Lead the Visual team through a combination of:
- Regular performance accountability
- Continuous coaching and growth development
- Elevating open communication across Operations and Visual teams
- Build sustainable succession by:
- Developing a talent pipeline
- Implementing recruitment strategies
- Schedule team members efficiently, aligning priorities with business strategy in collaboration with the General Manager
Business Partner
- Oversee ALO’s Sales and Service Model, ensuring operational efficiency stays intact
- Align with the General/Store Manager’s vision and collaborate across the organization to achieve business goals
- Navigate the company bridge organizational needs with brand culture
- Serve as a cross-functional partner across all business functions
Visual Manager – Qualifications
- Prior leadership experience in retail or a related industry
- Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, requiring adaptability (agile mindset)
- Passionate, results-driven individual who thrives in a high-growth, entrepreneurial culture
- Demonstrates business ownership, independent work ethic, time management, and personal accountability
- Aligns with and upholds ALO’s Guiding Principles
- Physical capabilities:
- Ability to lift, push, carry, or otherwise maneuver items weighing up to 50 pounds
- Ability to lift, bend, kneel, climb, crawl, and twist
- Ability to operate a ladder safely,réemplir frame arcMajers such as ladder ability to stand and move for prolonged periods

Work Schedule
- Full-time role, 40-hour workweek over 5 calendar days
- 75% of hours involved in managing the retail floor and developing the team
- All full-time employees must remain available for:
- Opening shifts
- Closing shifts
- Weekend assignments (note: schedule flexibility allows for a balanced trade-off with business periods)
