Fleet Ambassador

Circleour goal as a Fleet Ambassador to ensure smooth, safe, and sustainable operations for DPD UK’s fleet. Located in Messina Way, Dagenham (RM9 6FF), this permanent (40 hours per week), tech-driven role offers £14.27/hour (with overtime at enhanced rates) and Tuesday–Saturday shifts (10:00–18:30).


About the Role: Guardian of the Fleet

You’ll be more than just a vehicle inspector—you’re the Fleet Ambassador, the problem-solver who keeps DPD’s tech-driven operations running at peak performance. Your mission? Ensure safety, efficiency, and a polished brand presence across our 3.5T vans and HGV fleet.


Your Responsibilities: Champion of Smooth Operations

Daily Duties (Equipment & Fleet Management)

  • Conduct tech-first inspections using DPD’s vehicle app to track fleet condition and safety compliance.
  • Ensure compliance: Weigh vehicles to confirm adherence to 3.5T limits and apply vehicle Out of Order Routers (VOR) as needed.
  • Collaborate with drivers to report and resolve defects promptly.
  • Manage site traffic, fuel pumps, and other depot equipment to maintain a safe and organised working environment.
  • Procure, inventory, and manage critical stock (e.g., lights, mirrors).
  • Maintain accurate HGV fleet data records.

Weekly Focus Points

  • Use Google Calendar to track vehicle notices and follow-up deadlines.
  • Review outstanding repairs with the Transport Team.
  • Support repair workflows with organised follow-through.
