Fleet Assistant (Temporary to Permanent) – North West Hub Workshop

Salary & Benefits
- £32,372 base salary plus a shift allowance of £135.32 per week (Monday to Friday, 21:26 – 06:00).
- Weekend supplement: £42.93 per shift for working Saturdays.

About the Role
Our fleet spans over 49,000 vehicles, including traditional fuel and electric vehicles, LCVs and HGVs. Maintaining this diverse fleet requires a proactive, hands-on approach. By joining us, you’ll help modernise vehicle fleets and work with a variety of makes and models—an exciting opportunity for growth and development.
Key Responsibilities
- Tyre maintenance: Re-grooving, fitting, balancing, and inflating tyres, plus puncture repairs.
- Basic vehicle repairs: Replacing light bulbs, mirrors, doors, and wiper blades.
- General maintenance: Topping up fluids, pressure washing vehicles, loading/unloading test weights.
- Minor body repairs: Supporting technicians on minor repairs.
- MOT vehicle presentations: Preparing vehicles for MOT inspections.
- Forklift operation: Loading/unloading via forklift (seat-belt permitted). Licence preferred but not essential.

About You
We provide full training, but candidates must demonstrate:
- Manual working experience: H hands-on, tool-based tasks with precision.
- Full UK manual driving licence: HGV license (including trailers) is highly advantageous for vehicle transport.
- High working standards: Dedication to quality and on-time completion.
- Flexibility & teamwork: Willingness to adapt to shift demands (including weekends).
Bonus: Qualifications in flue/gas testing accreditation can be earned through structured development.
