About The Role

We are seeking a Fleet Assistant to join our busy and dynamic fleet management team at Zenith. As a Fleet Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that vehicle and trailer defects are swiftly allocated to our nationwide network of suppliers, minimising downtime and enabling prompt repairs. This role requires someone who can self-manage, work well under pressure, and contribute to a team that delivers top-quality service to our customers.

You will be responsible for overseeing defects, communicating effectively with suppliers and customers, and supporting various operational teams to ensure high standards of service. Strong attention to detail, IT proficiency, and excellent communication skills are essential to succeed in this position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Allocate defects to the correct supplier promptly, adhering to KPIs, customer, and warranty requirements.
  • Progress chase repairs and keep both customers and the internal team updated on job status.
  • Handle inbound calls from customers and suppliers, logging job details and ensuring timely updates in the system.
  • Support the breakdown team by managing roadside and on-site emergency defects.
  • Ensure all customer service contract obligations and operating requirements are met within agreed guidelines.
  • Resolve customer, supplier, and internal issues promptly, escalating when necessary.
  • Communicate effectively across all departments to support operational success.
  • Work flexibly with varying shift patterns to meet customer service needs.

Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience within Fleet Management/Maintenance or a Workshop setting is essential.
  • Customer centric, strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to manage and prioritise multiple tasks.
  • Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated with a proactive attitude and a team-oriented mindset.
  • Customer-focused, with a professional approach to service delivery.
  • Comfortable working with IT systems
