Welcome To Linaker
For 30 years Linaker has specialised in the creation and maintenance of tailor-made business environments. Having shaped workspaces for a wide range of businesses across the country, Linaker’s heritage lies in our ability to design and regulate unique spaces that truly work.
Linaker was founded upon three core values: trust, reliability and care. We are not just a service provider, rather an essential part of our clients’ architecture and, ultimately, an extension of their business, as part of one team.
With continued growth we are now looking for a highly capable Fleet Manager to support critical operational initiatives and drive performance improvements across our portfolio.
About The Role
As Fleet Manager, you will be responsible for the end-to-end management of Linaker's national fleet operation, supporting our engineers and managers across the UK.
This is a hands-on role that combines operational delivery with strategic oversight. You will manage the full vehicle lifecycle, ensuring our fleet remains safe, compliant, cost-effective and fit for purpose whilst identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce costs and enhance the driver experience.
Reporting to the People Director and managing one direct report, you will work closely with operational teams, suppliers and key stakeholders across the business to deliver an exceptional fleet support service. Alongside fleet responsibilities, you will oversee the day-to-day management of the Haydock office, ensuring a well-run and professional working environment.
This role requires regular travel across our offices and operational locations and would suit someone who enjoys building strong relationships, solving problems and taking ownership of a busy and varied function.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
