Fleet Manager
A love for vehicles
We are looking for an experienced Fleet Manager to oversee our rental vehicle fleet from acquisition to disposal. You will be responsible for maximizing vehicle availability and utilization, controlling fleet costs, ensuring regulatory compliance, and keeping our vehicles safe and rental-ready across all branches.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and manage fleet acquisition, replacement cycles, and disposal/resale of vehicles
- Monitor fleet size, mix, and utilization to match rental demand while controlling costs
- Schedule and oversee preventative maintenance, servicing, and repairs to minimize vehicle downtime
- Manage relationships with dealerships, service centers, panel beaters, and parts suppliers, negotiating rates and contracts
- Ensure all vehicles are licensed, registered, and roadworthy, and that documentation is kept current
- Oversee vehicle insurance, manage claims processes, and coordinate accident and damage reporting
- Track fleet costs (maintenance, fuel, licensing, insurance) and report on cost-per-vehicle and fleet KPIs
- Coordinate vehicle movements between branches to balance availability
- Implement and monitor telematics/GPS tracking to manage vehicle usage, mileage, and driver behavior
- Ensure compliance with roadworthiness, safety, and legal requirements across the fleet
- Manage the fleet maintenance and licensing budget
- Supervise fleet administration staff and workshop/valeting teams where applicable
- Liaise with the Finance team on fleet-related asset registers, depreciation, and loan/lease reconciliations
- Investigate and resolve recurring vehicle issues, accidents, and damage trends to reduce losses

Skills
Requirements
- Diploma or degree in fleet management, logistics, business administration, or related field preferred
- 3–5+ years of experience in fleet management, ideally within car rental, logistics, or a related industry
- Strong understanding of vehicle maintenance schedules, licensing, and roadworthiness requirements
- Experience managing supplier and vendor relationships and negotiating service contracts
- Proficiency with fleet management software and/or telematics/GPS tracking systems
- Strong analytical and budgeting skills, with attention to cost control
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple vehicles and priorities at once
- Valid driver’s license required

Nice to Have
- Experience in the car rental or short-term vehicle hire industry specifically
- Familiarity with vehicle finance/lease agreements (e.g., Wesbank, Nissan Finance) and amortization schedules
- Experience managing multi-branch or multi-site fleets
- Knowledge of insurance claims handling and accident management processes
Work Location & Hours:
We would love to have you join us on-site at our office in Windhoek.
This is a full-time position, with working hours from Monday to Friday, approximately 08:00–17:00.
