Fleet Specialist – Portsmouth (Part-Time, Fixed Term, Night Shift)
Your mission at Voi
For the position of Fleet Specialist, you’ll have the opportunity to work in two distinct areas based on workload and suitability:
- Mechanical Team: Responsible for maintenance and repair of our e-bikes, ensuring they remain in optimal condition and supporting ground teams with technical support.
- In-Field Team: Utilising Voi vans to perform various tasks in the Portsmouth area, ensuring smooth, efficient operations.
Key Responsibilities
As a Fleet Specialist, your role includes but is not limited to:
- Ensuring the logistics of collecting and distributing Voi e-bikes 🚲
- Searching for and collecting damaged e-bikes 🚲
- Conducting battery replacements 🔋
- Performing quick on-site repairs of e-bikes 🔧 🚲
- Diagonising and repairing broken vehicles 🔧 🚲
- Recycling and dismantling unrepairable vehicles ♻️
- Assisting with the acceptance, packaging, and provision of new vehicles and batteries arriving at the warehouse 🔍
- Supporting on-site teams by:
- Identifying damaged vehicles
- Clearing parking spaces
- Setting up fallen vehicles 🤝

What You’ll Need
To succeed in this role, you must:
- Hold a full UK driving licence with no major offence (max 6 points for minor violations).
- Drive for e-Van insurance purposes occasionally.
- Have in-depth knowledge of your city, including navigation during all weather and traffic conditions.
- Be a responsible team player who:
- Can work independently and collaboratively.
- Motivates others and shares knowledge.
- Possess a pragmatic, problem-solving mindset focused on task execution, target achievement, and OKR attainment.
- Stay calm under pressure (e.g., poor parking, traffic).
- Maintain physical fitness sufficient for lifting/carrying heavy loads.
