Job Description
The main purpose of the role is to ensure a safe and compliant LGV Fleet with maximum asset availability whilst also following Culina Group brand guidelines as well as manufacturers best practise, allowing Culina Group depots to deliver a first-rate service to our customers. Part of this role also ensures the Service Providers carrying out the work to keep the fleet compliant are working in a Safe and Legal environment.
Working hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hour week.
Key Duties of a Fleet Standards Manager:
- Working as a key member of the Management team to ensure fleet repairs are carried out at best practice.
- Credibility and track record of managing suppliers either in a fleet engineering management role or where fleet maintenance has been an important aspect of their remit.
- Manage the weekly/periodic costs from suppliers, challenge any areas of opportunities.
- Ensure financial reports are managed and accurate to budgets, any overspends are mitigated and detail availability to support is available.
- Supporting the Transport teams during peak periods to ensure fleet availability to be able to deliver operational excellence.
- Carry out Maintenance Standards and Compliance Audits to ensure a safe and legal operation across suppliers and LGV VMU workshops.
- Supporting fleet changes in the business, bringing in new assets and decommissioning old fleet.
- Collaborating cross functionality with our fleet manufacturers, maintenance suppliers and distribution centres to deliver great service levels.
- Able to lead and facilitate internal and external meetings providing clear direction and next steps.

Qualifications
- LGV technical knowledge.
- Experience of communicating effectively and influencing suppliers and colleagues.
- IRTE or City and Guilds qualified.
- Solid leadership ability to engage, coach, motivate and develop others to achieve results.
- Able to analyse data Interrogating our Fleet Maintenance platform.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Transport Manager CPC an advantage.
- LGV 1 Driving Licence preferable.
- IT skills to include excel and Microsoft office/word.
