Location: Bodmin, Camborne

Salary: Scale D: Starts at A GBP 27,204 rising by yearly increments to a maximum of A GBP 29,859 per annum

Vacancy Type: Permanent

Hours per week: This role is 37 hours per week. However, we welcome applications from individuals wishing to work on a part-time basis and we are willing to consider flexible working patterns subject to business need.

About The Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Fleet Services Team, acting as the customer interface for our vehicle workshops. You will deal with enquiries from Officers and Staff at all levels, providing a professional and confidential front of house reception and logistics service.

You will ensure the appropriate fleet related technical supplies and consumables are resourced in a timely and cost-effective manner to minimise asset down time whilst adhering to financial policy, procedures, and audit requirements.

Person Specification

Essential

  • Demonstrable, suitable motor vehicle knowledge commensurate with the role.
  • Proven, demonstrable skills in Microsoft Office suite of products.
  • Good planning and organising skills.
  • Proven ability to work effectively without close supervision.
  • Excellent customer care skills, with a proven ability to meet customer expectations.
  • Able to demonstrate experience of working in a busy environment and effectively prioritising workloads.
  • Sound Problem Solving skills: able to make a range of routine, operational decisions on a daily basis (e.g., allocating and re-prioritising work to be carried out by technicians, chasing orders, deciding on appropriate repairs etc.)
  • Experience of effective use of Data Management Systems: to ensure the data is up to date.
