Overall Purpose of The Job
The Fleet Systems Support Officer role is responsible for supporting Fleet Cell activities for implementing and maintaining the combined planned maintenance system (PMS) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) platform. The role will deliver support and setup of third-party systems in use by the Fleet Cell in support of the client, vessels and colleagues.
Key Responsibilities And Tasks
Quality Assurance: Perform quality checks of the systems to ensure technical integrity, accuracy, and adherence to manufacturer and regulatory guidelines. The role ensures ship details, ship components, spare parts, maintenance schedules, crew details, management details and budgets are accurately documented within the platform to maintain safety and compliance with Flag Administration, Classification Society and company requirements. Implementation and Training: Install and rollout systems with support from the IT Department on vessels and offices then provide comprehensive training and troubleshooting to end-users. Support and Troubleshooting: Process approved support requests and queries from vessels and office colleagues, resolving issues and making necessary modifications to the systems as requested. Project Management: Plan, execute, and monitor project timelines, liaising with clients and office colleagues to ensure smooth delivery, regular project progress reports and project completion within the timeline. Deliver support for projects onboard vessels and colleagues offices Data Migration: Support the IT Department in migrating existing data from legacy systems to new platforms and systems. Demonstrate: Be able to demonstrate the systems to existing clients, prospective clients, internal business units and colleagues. Progressive: The role will aid in the development of cloud-based work management and collaboration platforms for project management, workflow automation, and team collaboration. Look to the developing market for new systems that will support clients and colleagues then build and deliver business cases for new systems.

Essential
A recognised qualification in Maritime Studies, Marine Engineering or Mechanical Engineering. Proficiency in the uses of PMS, CMMS and ERP software. Highly IT literate and proficient with Microsoft Office applications. Self-motivated, self-directed and can adhere to a structured training and rollout schedule.
Desirable
Prior experience as a PMS/CMMS/ERP builder, implementor and maintainer, deck officer or marine engineer with an understanding of vessel operations and maintenance. Knowledge of maritime regulations (ISM, SOLAS, MARPOL, STCW). Knowledge of Classification Society and Flag Administration rules. Knowledge of ISO standards. Experience in coaching and teaching. A positive, proficient communicator in both verbal and written communications. The ability to work well with colleagues, assisting them to get the most from systems. The ability to identify common areas where colleagues have knowledge gaps in the use of a system and can create and deliver coaching sessions to bridge the gaps. A confident presenter and a fast learner who enjoys the challenge of learning new skills. To be an ambassador of the systems.
