About the Role
Are you passionate about shaping global responses to antimicrobial resistance (AMR), in time for the centenary of Alexander Fleming’s groundbreaking penicillin discovery in 2028?
As the Fleming Initiative Policy Fellow, you’ll play a pivotal role in driving international collaboration to address one of the world’s most pressing health challenges.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Conduct international stakeholder analysis to identify gaps and opportunities in AMR mitigation policies.
- Co-design innovative, evidence-based strategies with policymakers, researchers, and industry partners.
- Advocate for sustainable global solutions through engagement with national governments and key organisations.
- Support the implementation of the Fleming Initiative’s vision—using science as a force for humanity.

Requirements
We’re looking for a policy professional with at least 5+ years of experience (or equivalent) in a relevant field. Ideal candidates will have:
- A strong background in health policy, public policy, clinical governance, or scientific communication.
- Significant experience within academia, industry, civil service, or consulting, with a demonstrated track record of influencing policy outcomes.
- Expertise in stakeholder engagement and consensus-building across interdisciplinary/sectorial borders.
- An appetite for high-impact, international collaboration with clear strengths in policy analysis, reporting, and strategic storytelling.
