Flexibility Product Design Lead

About The Role

Ready to shape the future of energy flexibility in a rapidly evolving market? Do you enjoy turning complex market opportunities into innovative commercial products that create real customer value?

At EDF, Success is Personal. This is your chance to influence the future of flexibility services while developing your career your way.

The Opportunity

As our Flexibility Product Design Lead, you'll play a pivotal role in developing and evolving innovative flexibility propositions that help customers unlock the value of flexible energy assets. Working across commercial strategy, regulation, technology and customer insight, you'll help drive the transition towards An Electric Britain while delivering sustainable growth for the business.

This is a hybrid role, requiring attendance at the office a minimum of twice a week. You'll benefit from the flexibility of combining home and office working while collaborating closely with colleagues, stakeholders and industry partners.

This is a highly specialised and influential position within our Wholesale and Infrastructure Services team. You'll help shape regulatory outcomes, contribute to responses to Ofgem consultations and identify new commercial opportunities arising from market and policy developments. Working alongside experts across the business, you'll have the opportunity to influence the future direction of flexibility products and services.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
