Flight Communications Controller

We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Flight Communications Controller to join our Operations team. This is a critical coordination role, acting as the central link between Crew, Operations, Scheduling, and Owner Services to ensure smooth and efficient flight execution.

The Role

As a Flight Communications Controller, you will maintain real-time operational awareness and ensure accurate, timely communication across all operational teams. You will play a key role in supporting crew logistics, managing updates, and helping to maintain continuity across a dynamic, fast-moving flight programme.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the central communication hub between Crew, Operations, Scheduling, and Owner Services for all flight-related updates
  • Maintain real-time operational awareness, tracking aircraft movements, crew status, and schedule changes
  • Manage and coordinate crew travel and accommodation, including day-of-operations (Day 0) changes and forward planning
  • Perform quality control checks on upcoming flights to ensure accuracy, readiness, and compliance
  • Interpret weather reports and operational data, escalating risks or issues to Operations leadership
  • Support IROPS management, including delays, AOG events, diversions, and schedule disruptions
  • Prepare and distribute daily operational reports, ensuring clear visibility of flight status and performance
  • Provide administrative and operational support to Scheduling and Operations teams, ensuring continuity across shifts

About You

You are a detail-oriented and dependable professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in enabling smooth, accurate operations through clear communication.

Essential

  • Experience in aviation operations, dispatch, customer service, or a related field
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with professional telephone manner
  • Excellent organisation and multitasking ability, with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure in a real-time environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and confidence learning new operational systems
  • A proactive, team-oriented mindset with a focus on safety and service excellence
  • Legal right to work in the United Kingdom

Desirable

  • Background in business aviation, charter, or airline operations
  • Aviation-related degree (e.g. Aviation Management, Flight Operations)
  • Experience supporting crew logistics or flight coordination activities

Working Pattern

  • 5 on / 3 off rotation
  • 9-hour shifts covering early and evening rotations
