Location: London City Airport
Reports to: Duty Manager
Hours: Part time 87 hours per month
Rate of Pay: 16.15 per hour
Shift Pattern: A mixture of Early, Late and Split shifts
Role:
To perform the main tasks as outlined in a professional and punctual manner. Focusing on delivering the highest standard of safety and security while ensuring commercial decisions are adhered to.
Main Tasks:
- Preparation of accurate weight and balance documentation, either by DCS or Manual paperwork
- Prepare and produce the relevant loading documents for a flight including manual paperwork as and when necessary
- Ensuring flights are closed within individual airlines requirements.
- Coordination of SHP staff during turnaround. Ensure to maintain regular communication with gate dispatchers in order to amend the load plan(LMC) as required
- The covering of Ops control
- Comply with all SHP health and safety and security requirements
- Comply with internal updated procedures as instructed by Manager
- Comply with external updated procedures as instructed by Airlines and CAA
- Complete any tasks that the Duty Manager may require
- To be available in good time for the arrival of a flight
- Carry out all the necessary preparation for the dispatch of specific flight
- Ensure the relevant flight documentation is passed in a timely manner to the appropriate departments or organisations
- To ensure the flight file is fully completed and all relevant information is held within the flight file
- Coordinate and supervise all the third party activities involved in the turn round process, Ensuring the following complete their tasks to SHP/Airline standard catering/fuellers/cleaners and other external services
- To assist and handle requests from passengers during the arrival process
- To supervise and carry out departure boarding control and safe co-ordination of passengers to and from the aircraft and the terminal building
- To be able to present passengers to the relevant control authorities
- Other duties will be assigned from time to time

Requirements
- Excellent Organisational and Interpersonal Skills
- Computer Literacy & Excellent Numerical Ability
- Ability to work rostered shifts and to be flexible in the event of disruptions
- Ability to work well under pressure to ensure the safe and efficient turnaround of aircraft
- Work well on own initiative following company guidelines
- Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years aviation experience
