Flight Ops Officer
Flight Ops Officer
We’re looking for a Flight Ops Officer to join our team at our headquarters in Malta.

You will join a close-knit Operations Control Centre (OCC) team, supporting business jet operations globally, 24/7.
Whether you already have experience in private or commercial aviation or are looking to apply your flight operations expertise in a collaborative environment, you will be part of a team where industry knowledge drives results and teamwork is the cornerstone.

Duties
As a Flight Ops Officer, your responsibilities will include:
- Managing flight schedules and passenger information within the Flight Scheduling System
- Preparing IFR/VFR flight plans, including short-range and ultra-long-range EROPS operations, ensuring compliance with:
- AOC (Air Operator’s Certificate)
- Private operations requirements
- Relevant regulations for flight planning and safety
- Monitoring:
- Worldwide weather conditions
- Geopolitical developments
- Security situations that may affect flight operations
- Arranging ground support services, such as:
- Aircraft handling
- Fuelling
- VIP requests
- Materials (e.g., lavatory, water, GPU, ASU, or towing)
- Reviewing and analysing NOTAMs, TAFs, and METARs during flight planning, taking action when operational changes are needed
- Coordination with global stakeholders for:
- Overflight and landing permits
- Airport slots
- Flight feasibility checks
- Keeping flight crews informed on:
- ATFM (Air Traffic Flow Management) slot allocations
- Operational changes, particularly within European airspace
- Ensuring compliance with:
- Customs, immigration, and documentation requirements (e.g., eAPIS)
- Additional duties relevant for international operations
- Working closely with the Ground Operations team for:
- Airport and handling logistics
- Cost evaluations and operational expenses
- Travel restrictions or crew/passenger-related issues
- Arranging additional insurance coverage for operations in specific countries
- Overseeing worldwide traffic flow and adjusting flight planning accordingly.

Requirements
- Previous experience in flight dispatch, including:
- Familiarity with PPS Flight Planning Software and GURU Weight & Balance
- Ability to:
- Remain calm under pressure
- Assess information quickly and make confident decisions
- Must:
- Speak and write fluent English
- Have additional language skills (beneficial, though not mandatory)
- Strong organisational skills, including the ability to:
- Prioritise tasks efficiently
- Collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams
- Proactive and solution-focused mindset, capable of:
- Solving unexpected challenges
- Thinking beyond conventional solutions
- Team-oriented approach, with:
- Excellent communication
- Attention to detail
- Reliability and willingness to support colleagues
- General understanding of:
- Aviation regulations
- Operational requirements
- Willingness to:
- Work towards team objectives under supervision of the OCC Supervisor
- Flexibility to work:
- Rotating shifts
- Overnight hours
- Weekends and public holidays
- Minimum educational requirement:
- High school diploma (equivalent is also accepted)
- Permanent EU work and residence permit requirements apply.
