Veterinary Care Assistant (VCA) – Job Description
About the Role
As a Veterinary Care Assistant (VCA), you will support the nurse and veterinary team in providing in-patient care and pet-related procedures, while delivering exceptional service to clients, patients, and colleagues.
The role will involve working flexibly across our Billinge and Newton le Willow sites, as well as covering some weekend shifts at our 24-hour hospital.

Key Responsibilities
In this role, you’ll typically be responsible for:
- Delivering exceptional client care, including surgery and procedural support, while adhering to regulatory, practice, and operational standards.
- Providing patient monitoring and husbandry for pets:
- Walking, toileting, and feeding where required.
- Working within a dynamically supportive team to enhance patient and client experiences.
