Floating Support Worker - Ceredigion Services

Our Services
Ceredigion Mental Health Service (1x 21 hours available)
Based at Camfan Service, Lampeter, Ceredigion, the Manager, Floating Support Workers & Scheme Support Officers support individuals experiencing mental health conditions, providing assistance in their homes or temporary accommodation.
Key focus areas:
- Preventing homelessness in Ceredigion
- Managing debt and promoting health and wellbeing
- Empowering individuals to make positive life choices
- Supporting skill development to prevent homelessness, improve financial capability, and sustain homes within the community
Required experience/public knowledge: Experience or knowledge of supporting individuals with mental health issues and homelessness challenges.
Connecting People Service (1x 30 hours available)
Also based at Camfan Service, Lampeter, Ceredignon, the Manager & Floating Support Workers specialise in supporting individuals (aged 18+) with mild learning disabilities.

Key responsibilities:
- Providing community-based support, including:
- Assistance with housing challenges
- Managing mental health issues
- Supporting those facing substance misuse
- Addressing broader complex needs
- Supporting in securing and sustaining suitable accommodation
- Contributing to an individual’s development, growth, and improved quality of life
Required experience/public knowledge: Experience or knowledge of supporting individuals with mild learning disabilities.
Key Skills and Experience Required
For all roles, the following are essential:
✔ Relevant work experience in supporting vulnerable individuals ✔ Deep understanding of:
- Housing-related support services
- Welfare benefits systems ✔ A passion to enable people to live as independent a life as possible ✔ Enthusiasm for making a tangible difference to people’s lives ✔ Strong initiative and ability to:
- Work independently or as part of a team player ✔ Resilience in managing conflicting or difficult situations

Key Details
- Both roles are permanent contracts.
- Working hours are predominantly Monday–Friday (office hours), though flexibility is required for service needs.
- Mandatory: Valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
